There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow
Bridge because of its many colours. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge
there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always
food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are
young again. They play all day with each other. There is only one
thing missing. They are not with their special person who loves them on
Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one
suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears are
up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group!
You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take
him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and
again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting
pet.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together never to be separated.

If there are no dogs in Heaven,
then when I die I want to go where they
went."
- Will Rogers
- The Last Good Bye
-
- The hardest thing it
seems
- Is to say the last
good-bye
- There is a time to
be born
- And for all things a
time to die.
- It is the memories
we hold so dear
- That keeps their
spirit strong
- It is the love we
have for them
- That helps us go
along.
- If you should
open up your heart
- And close a
tearful eye
- You may feel
their touch upon you
- As their
spirit passes by.
- And when
they are content
- That we
will be okay
- They leave
us for the Rainbow Bridge
- To await
our reunion one day.

- "Bacchus"
- Ch. Keetukka’s Bacchus SD,
TT
- May 1992—Sept 1999

- Bacchus
joined our family as a puppy and he very quickly showed us how much
of a character he really was.
- All those who knew him will
attest to his soundness of spirit and, despite being a dog, he was able
to communicate his joy
- or disappointment in all situations.
Determined to please, he excelled at every task put before him.
- He was an all-round
Siberian, a consistent winner in the show ring, a competitive
hard-worker in wheel on any sled team, and a consummate gentleman
with people everywhere.
His loss reminded us of how
blessed we were to know him.
He is truly missed.
Rest well friend.

- "Tasha"
- Ch. Galacia’s Natasha of
Nonor S.D.
- May 1990 — April 2000

- Tasha shared her life with two families. From her early days as a pup she was
the pride of Norm and Noreen Talbot (Nonor Kennels).
- In her later years she joined the
team at Wolf's Eye and became a part of our family.
- Tasha was always
ready to work hard and perform to her limits, whether in the show ring or,
where she preferred, in harness.
- A proven sled dog and conformation
winner Tasha was a “Real Siberian”.
- Her sudden death as a result of an
undiagnosed and at the time unknown illness was a shock to all who knew her.
- She has left a big hole in
all our hearts.
- Till we meet again, keep the lines tight, stay the course and together we
will cross the finish line again. Rest well friend.

- "Bandit"
- Ch. Wolfseye's
Shaman of Keetukka
November 1994
— December 1998

- Bandit was co-owned by Shelley Gerig
(Keetukka Perm Reg'd Siberians) & Laurie Millions
until we lost him to cancer before his 5th birthday.
- Justin Young
& Laurie showed Bandit to his Championship with many Puppy in Breeds
& Puppy in Groups.
- He is sadly missed by Laurie & Mark
Millions and the rest of the Oakridgelane gang in Manitoba.

- "Shabby"
- Wolfseye's
Shabaqua
- November 1994
— 1997
Shabaqua spent his short life being
loved by Maureen & Ian Dew.
He readily accepted (and taught all the
Siberian tricks) to a little brother, Simba (Wolfseye's The Lion Sleeps
Tonight).
His death as a result of an accident saddened all involved, but
especially Maureen & Ian.

- "Jack"
- Wolfseye's
Jack Frosting
- November 1996 - February 1998
Jack was owned by Paul & Shelly
Whitney and was training & running on their team of purebred
Siberians. Jack died as a result of eating too much pea gravel. Paul
categorized Jack at the time of his death as "his best sled
dog". Jack was a pure white boy from our Ice Cream Toppings litter.

- "Nikoma"
- Wolfseye's
Tiger Tail
- November 1996 - March 1998
Nikoma died as a result of being a Siberian.
Unfortunately for her, she escaped from her run and did what came
naturally. Yes, she killed a neighbour's cat on their front porch.
The unfortunate part is that her owners were novices who did not call us from
the animal shelter when they were told she had to be "put down"
because of her behaviour. We didn't find out until the vet's received her
for cremation and recognized our kennel name.

- "Nala'
- Wolfseye's Vanala Ann
Sambuca
- November 1996 - December 1999
Nala was a wonderful black &
white girl from our Ice Cream Toppings litter who started her life with Father
Al, a local priest. When Father Al was moved to another parish he was
unable to have a pet and was able to find a wonderful home with one of his
parishioners. Nala died of cancer just after her third birthday.

- "Blizzard"
- Wolfseye's
Johnny Be Good
- December 1995 - August 2002
Blizzard
lived with, and was loved by Geoff & Teri Bertin and their two kids, Josh
& Brianna. Of course, there was also his Siberian "sister"
Kyra ( Ch Wolfseye's Born in the USA from our US litter) who is pictured on this
site a couple of times. Blizzard also shared his family with a Shih Tzu,
Spencer, who ran around the outside of the compound teasing as much as he could
get away with. Blizzard recently passed over the Rainbow Bridge after a
valiant fight with some unknown viruses.

- "Terra"
- Ch. Keetukka's Terra SD
- May 1992 - November 2003

Terra left us in November 2003 after a brief illness. She was a
wonderful girl. Always had a "smile" on her face. She loved
the show ring and she loved being a Mom. But best of all she loved
running with her brother Bacchus in front of a sled.
Terra and Bacchus were our very first Siberians. They are both gone
but they will never be forgotten. They live on in their children and
their grandchildren.

- "Pepper"
- Wolfseye's Spice of
Life
- December 1994 - February
2004

Pepper suffered from a neurological
incident, which translates in the human world to something similar to a
stroke. He had a number of these episodes, but he was unable to
recover from the last one. Pepper left us with dignity on February
16, 2004. He achieved many miles towards his sled dog title (SD)
running for Paul Whitney on his purebred team. A few years ago Pepper returned to Wolf's Eye to live out his
retirement. He never made it into the show ring, and I never was
able to breed him. Our loss, because he was a nice all-round dog.
We'll miss 'ya Pep!

- "Snowball"
- Ch. Wolfseye's Electra
of Keetukka
- October 1993 - May
2004

Ch Wolfseye's Electra of
Keetukka, lovingly referred to as Snowball and unlovingly referred to as
the "bitch from hell" has left us. Terry was present to say goodbye to his team
mate, as he was the person who named her so aptly after a fight on a 6
mile race. Snowball had lymphoma (cancer in the lymph nodes) and she
refused to eat one morning. We knew it was time when she refused to
eat! She loved her groceries. She spent her last months as a house
dog, crated across from the Sheltie "Dillon" & she licked her lips every
time he passed her crate. She would have loved to have "played" with
him! Snowball would have been 11 in October. She was the mother of 3 of our
litters, 1 a litter of 9. She will be missed.

- "Dak"
- Wolfseye's Storm
Trooper
- November 1996 - May
2004

Dak owned & loved his
buddy Mike Menard and spent the majority of his life in Pickle Lake where
Mike worked. Dak & Mike moved to Thunder Bay where he tolerated
living with some German Shepherds. Dak is the poster dog for our new
Siberian Husky club "Amethyst". Mike took this photo of Dak while
they were enjoying life in Pickle Lake.

- "Meeko"
- Wolfseye's Storm Cloud
- November 1996 - March
2004
Meeko passed away in
her Dad's arms one evening after a walk. Gary & Elaine Budd and
family missed her so much they called me to see if we had any puppies.
They wanted another Siberian, not to replace Meeko, but to keep them
company. I was able to find them a puppy here in Thunder Bay & they
are happy again.

- "Sydney"
- Wolfseye's Aurora
- June 1995 - July
2004

Sydney passed
away
while on a walk with her Dad, Ronald Lund in Duluth, MN.
Jonathan, her "brother" found her to be a wonderful companion
during his illness. He had a
fear of dogs having been
bitten as a child, but found Sydney calming & peaceful to be around.
The family is devastated to lose her so young.

Rest well, Sydney.

- "Misqua"
- Galacia's Misqua
- June 1989 - September 2004
Misqua means "red" in one of the
Aboriginal languages. Misqua came to live with us for "a couple of
weeks" and stayed 10 years. She was a wonderful mom and enjoyed
being in front of a sled. She had just celebrated her 15th birthday
when old age caught up with her.
Misqua spent her first few years up in
Northern Manitoba basically running free. She never made it into the
show ring because of a break on her front leg which wasn't treated &
didn't heal straight. That didn't stop her from enjoying
life. Rest well, old girl.
We'll miss
you.

- "Sadie"
- Ch. Canisphere's Yes
Dear VonMatris, CD, TT, TD, SchB, CGC
- November 1995 - April
2005

- Sadie was Justin's junior
handling dog from the time she was given to him at 6 months of age.
- She went everywhere with us...to Toronto to compete at the Sky Dome,
to Calgary, to Abbotsford, BC...all over.
- Sadie passed quietly in her
sleep. She is sadly missed by her daughter, Cuji, and the rest
of her human & canine family.

- "Murphy"
- Wolfseye's
Muckwa Kodiak
- November 1994 -
October 2005
Murphy was one of the first
Siberians that Paul & Shelly Whitney purchased from us. He was
from our first litter Native Names.
He wasn't a show dog but
loved pulling the kids around on their toboggan.
Murphy never made it onto
the competitive sled teams but he sure loved his life as the "one
who stayed home".

- "Blue"
- Ch. Montana Mtn's Blue
Twister, TT
- October 1998 - March
2006

Blue was Terry's
buddy right from the minute he came off the plane from Montana. So
much so, that he was named after Terry's favourite drink Johnny Walker
Blue. Hence the photo taken by professional photographer & friend,
Teri Bertin. Blue would do almost anything for Terry. Even sit
in an old bathtub while Terry enjoys a scotch!
He is sadly missed
by Cuji, Bruce & Blaze (his house buddies) and his human family, of
course!

- "Thor"
- Ch. Montana Mtn's Canadian Thor
- November 1996 - July
2006

-
Thor arrived with baby Blue to make
his home with our family.
- He was two when he arrived & almost 10
when he left. The house is empty without the "boys".

-
"Windy"
- Ch. Wolfseye's Wind Dancer
- November 1994 - July 2006

Windy passed away quietly...just like
she lived her life. She starred in a movie
called Morning in the Northwest and played the part of a Native camp dog. Windy
was our first home-bred Champion and our son, Justin's, puppy. He
showed Windy to multi Best Puppy in Shows and to many Junior wins.
Windy is sadly missed by Frankie, her kennel-mate and the rest of us at
Wolf's Eye Kennels.

"Mel"
Ch. Wolfseye's Caramel
Coating
November 1996 - February 2007

- Mel was a
wonderful, friendly boy who loved to give kisses. He developed a
tumor that we can assume was cancerous. Mel fathered our
"Christmas" litter and our "Power of One" litter. His fantastic
temperament has been passed along to his kids and grandkids.
- Rest well big guy!

"Chinook"
Ch. Wolfseye's
Chainsaw Massacre
March 1998 -
April 2007

Chinook was a beautiful
pure white boy owned by Jennifer & Jim Commuzzi of Kammick Kennels here in
Thunder Bay. He was shown to his championship by Justin Young. He is
sadly missed by the Commuzzi family and the gang at Kammick Kennels.

"Syxbe"
Ch. Wolfseye's Syxbe of
Keetukka
December 1993 - June 2007
- Syxbe was one of
our earliest Siberians and she got her name because her tattoo letters
were 6B. When we were over at Keetukka Kennels (Shelley Gerig) seeing the litter
they all looked so much alike that we kept having to pick them up to
look at the tattoo letters to see if we had 6B or 7B, or whomever.
Syxbe was a wonderful mom, except she wanted to sit in Terry's lap to
have her babies! She loved riding in the old green pick-up truck &
became known as Terry's Truck Dog. She never really liked the show
ring but LOVED to be on a sled!
- Until we meet again, run
well !
-
-
"Simba"
- Wolfseye's
The Lion Sleeps Tonight
- December 1995 - July 2007
-

- Simba lived in Alberta
with Maureen Dew & was her best friend. He was born with
one deformed foot and started life known as Gimpy, but Maureen
fell in love with him & he had a wonderful life with her.
He injured the deformed leg and suffered so much pain that he
wasn't able to enjoy their daily walks anymore. Maureen
will really miss her "Best Friend"
-
-
-
"Cameo"
- Ch. Wolfseye's
Storm Warning
- November
1996 - March 2008

- Cameo lived at
Wolf's Eye Kennels for her whole almost 12 years, except
when she was a Mom for Laurie Millions of Oakridgelane
Kennels in Manitoba. She was given her name because
her face is a perfect black & white cameo. She was a
wonderfully lively little girl to show & finished her
championship easily at 9 months of age. Cameo was a
wonderful mom & was kenneled with her son, Spunky, who
misses her dearly.
